Edwin T. “Ted” Robinson
Managing Director

Ted has had more than 40 years of private equity, corporate finance, accounting and legal experience. He co-founded River Cities in 1994. He has been involved with a number of portfolio companies and he has overseen all administrative functions of the firm.

Before joining Glen Mayfield in Mayfield & Robinson, Inc. in 1984, Ted managed a venture capital fund as well as the U.S. acquisition activities of SHV Holdings, N.V., a large privately owned Dutch corporation. Prior to that, he practiced law as a partner of Strauss & Troy in Cincinnati and as a certified public accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co.

Ted has served as a member of the Board of Governors of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies and is past President of the Midwest Regional Association of Small Business Investment Companies. He is active in community affairs, including having served as Chairman of the Board of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. He now serves on the Board of Trustees of St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Ted has held Board positions in a number of other organizations and private companies. He holds a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati and an A.B. from Thomas More College.
