R. Glen Mayfield
Managing Director
Glen possesses more than 37 years of private equity, corporate finance and commercial banking experience. He founded Mayfield & Robinson, Inc. in 1978. This firm specialized in merchant banking activities and in corporate finance and business advisory services targeting firms in the Midwest. His success in these endeavors led to the formation of Fund I in 1994, which Glen co-founded with his partner Ted Robinson.
Previous to his corporate finance and venture capital career, Glen was a Vice President of The First National Bank of Cincinnati (now part of U.S. Bank), specializing in commercial lending to a diverse portfolio of companies spanning many industries and all stages of development. He had earlier served in a marketing and sales capacity with Armstrong World Industries. Following college, Glen served with the United States Marine Corps, obtaining the rank of Captain.
He holds a B.A. from DePauw University. Among Glen's numerous community activities are his service on the Board of Trustees of The Christ Hospital and the Board of Advisors of the Neuroscience Institute. In addition, he currently serves on the Board of the Elizabeth Gamble Deaconess Home Association, a foundation dedicated to improving healthcare in Cincinnati.
Glen has served on the Boards of Directors of over twenty companies, both public and private. Glen currently sits on the board of Galaxy Associates. |
