J. Eric Lenning

Eric possesses more than 35 years of private equity, corporate finance and commercial banking experience. He joined Mayfield & Robinson, Inc. in 1991 and assisted in the founding of River Cities in 1994. His focus is on traditional manufacturers and services businesses with high growth potential. He primarily concentrates on venture opportunities in Wisconsin, Michigan and the Northern and Dayton, Ohio regions.
Prior to the formation of River Cities, Eric performed merger and acquisition and corporate finance consulting engagements for Mayfield & Robinson's clients. Before that, he spent twenty years in the commercial banking industry with a major regional bank. His last position was as Senior Vice President, managing $500 million of credit relationships and three commercial lending divisions as well as serving as liaison to the bank's merchant banking division.
Eric has served on over two dozen River Cities and related private company boards as well as the boards of two venture trade associations and an early stage venture capital firm. He is a past President of the Board of Trustees of the Greater Cincinnati Venture Association and has served on numerous other community boards. He holds a BBA and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati, where he graduated with distinction and was awarded Beta Gamma Sigma.
Eric is an observer on the Rubicon board. He also manages an early stage pool of capital under contract with the Dayton (Ohio) Development Coalition. |
